COVID 19 service update – note from our Chairman
As matters stand the vast majority of our team continue to work remotely in the main and the vast majority of meetings have been conducted by video conferencing. We have sought to make this period as seamless as possible for our clients which for the most part we have done excellently, but where small issues have arisen we are very grateful for the patience and understanding our clients have shown. Our team have in my view done a wonderful, committed job from home to help our clients and I am very proud of each team member for their efforts.
I am now pleased to confirm that we are aiming, government advice allowing, to start a phased return to the office on Monday 7th of September. We will therefore start to offer meetings and initial consultations by agreement and necessity from this date, though we will still continue to offer virtual meetings or use other tools to offer remote services to Clients where possible and will encourage this as a preference to attendance at the office.
Where attendance at the office is necessary, we are fully committed to safeguarding both our staff and any visitors to our premises and we must keep focused on mitigating risks of transmission of the virus and this is our foremost priority. Accordingly, anyone entering our premises will be required to adhere strictly to the current government guidance for businesses offering legal services, which we trust is understandable.
All visitors to our premises will therefore be required to wear a face covering, use hand sanitiser on arrival and follow social distancing guidelines of 1 metre plus during any contact or at any meetings with our staff. We are also required to keep a record of all visitors to our premises for track and trace as well as health and safety purposes and therefore visitors will be required to sign in and leave contact details on entry to our premises.
No visitors will be allowed entry unless they are prepared to adhere to our COVID procedures above and anyone unwilling or unable to comply with this guidance will be asked to leave and may need to re-book their appointment.
To be honest, we doubt the importance of these provisions will need explaining and we hope that visitors will understand the need and comply with what will become a requirement for the majority of indoor premises. We do though thank you for you patience and compliance.
