MINIMUM AND LIVING WAGE INCREASES

Don’t forget!
The national minimum wage and national living wage are due to go up on 1 April 2021 as follows:-
National Living Wage
- Age 23 or over: will be £8.91 (up 2.2% from £8.72)
- This previously applied to those age 25 and over so take care to check which employees are now entitled to National Living Wage
National Minimum Wage
- Age 21 to 22: will be £8.36 (up 2% from £8.20)
- Age 18 to 20: will be £6.56 (up 1.7% from £6.45)
- Age 16 to 17: will be £4.62 (up 1.5% from £4.55)
- Apprentice: will be £4.30 (up 3.6% from £4.15)
- Records must now be kept for 6 years rather than 3 years
